Hamdi Uğur is Managing Partner at Fideas Finans Teknoloji Hizmetleri and a co-founder of Max Potential Sporcu Kuluçka Merkezi. He serves on the boards of Mundi Portföy Yönetimi, Mora Capital and SDS Prestij Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği. He began his career at Deloitte and Ernst & Young, then worked in investment banking at QNB Finansinvest and Ata Yatırım and in venture capital at Mora Capital, which he co-founded, and Feronia Portföy. He is a graduate of Tarsus American College and holds a BA in Business Administration from Koç University.
Hamdi Uğur is Managing Partner at Fideas Finans Teknoloji Hizmetleri and a co-founder of Max Potential Sporcu Kuluçka Merkezi. He serves on the boards of Mundi Portföy Yönetimi, Mora Capital and SDS Prestij Sigorta ve Reasürans Brokerliği.
He began his career in 2003 in external audit at Deloitte, went on to financial due diligence at Ernst & Young and investment banking at QNB Finansinvest and Ata Yatırım, and was part of the advisory teams on privatisations, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and debt issues. From 2016 he managed venture capital investments as Board Member and CFO of Mora Capital, which he co-founded and which has since completed its investment period. From 2017 to 2019 he was General Manager of Feronia Girişim Sermayesi Portföy Yönetimi, where he led the acquisition of a 51% stake in the Beştepeler Enerji geothermal power plant through Troya Yenilenebilir Enerji GSYF, Turkey’s first renewable-energy-focused venture capital investment fund; from 2017 to 2021 he was CFO and Board Member of Beştepeler Enerji.
Max Potential, which he co-founded in 2021, is Turkey’s first athlete incubator. He created Paranın İlk Adımları, a financial literacy programme for Max Potential athletes and other young people who ask for it, and shares his AI experiments in the AI Lab at hamdiugur.com. He is a graduate of Tarsus American College, holds a BA in Business Administration from Koç University and the Capital Markets Board of Turkey’s Level 3 (Advanced Level), Derivative Instruments, Credit Rating and Corporate Governance Rating licences.
